Work In Progress Pages!
We've added a new section to the site, the Work In Progress pages.
Here you'll find current projects being drawn step by step using photos taken at different stages. The first photo is the basic sketch layout...the last being the completed drawing with several photos in between. This works incredibly well for showing someone how the process works.
We hope you'll gain a certain insight into Jerry Van Leer's artwork by seeing how his artwork is created...going along for the ride. Makes you feel like you're part of the creative process!
What's Next
The current Work In Progress is the Busch Stadium project. The eagle drawing is complete and prints are ready. See the completed eagle here! Jerry's always wanted to draw an eagle so this is one of his favorites! More Busch Stadium updates coming soon!
Also, Jerry's beginning to get back into pastels. There are many subjects we'd like to see in full color instead of black and white. We've already reserved another domain just for the pastels so look for that link to be posted soon!
The Best Of Missouri Hands
Jerry has recently been accepted as a Juried Member in The Best Of Missouri Hands.
Receiving Juried Membership acceptance indicates that an artist has developed his or her craft beyond mere competence of technique to a high standard of quality. Jurying is done from
slides by a panel of craftsman and professionals. Jerry's individual artisan page is posted so take a look!
